I grew up in the Portland, Oregon area and am currently living in Provo, Utah where I am an Advertising - Communications major at Brigham Young University (BYU)
I have been interested in content creation from a very young age, starting with seeing my dad do weddings and senior photos. I gained an appreciation early on for the ability to capture not just beautiful photos and videos, but memories that I would be able to look back on for the rest of my life. I have never been great at journaling with words, but I have found much joy in capturing memories with a camera.
I was fortunate to grow up in a beautiful state with wonderful friends and family who have always been a great support to me. My passion for photography took off between 7th and 9th grade where my friend introduced me to shooting on analog film cameras. I immediately became enamored with the careful, calculated processes involved in shooting, developing, and enlarging photographs. I loved having so many points of creative control in the process of creating images. At the same time, I was always trying (and sometimes succeeding) in convincing my high school teachers to let me make short films instead of writing essays for final projects. Through these experiences, my love for photography and videography developed and I eventually started taking more photos with digital cameras. In the years since, my love for photography and videography has only grown.
